March 1Mar 1 Hello @Fullhealing, I hope you are doing great. I see you are on paxil as well and you have been cutting despite of symptoms... What are mostly your symptoms? Since 12/24, you have done big cuts. You might want to hold for a while before continuing tapering.... I'm on same drug but holding for 5 months now. I still dealing with the cold turkey I did back in 12/24 and I did three small cuts...brain still catching up with new dose and it can take time before normalizing again...from 20mg to 4.79 that's a lot for the brain... Others on paxil had came off, so we too will heal..... You are strong..,.keep moving forward... 08/01/2009- Klonopin 1mg, but took only .25mg when needed, and end up taking every day for 3 years. 08/01/2012 - Paraxotine 20 mg12/2024- reinstated 5mg (.0740g)after cold turkey. First tapering 07/01/2025 = 1.2% , 09/01/2025 - another 1.4%. 10/01/2025- 4.79mg (.0716g) holding until further notice........04/17/26 resumed taper 0714g (4.78mg). 05/20/2026- .0712g (4.76mg, .28% cut). 06/09/2026- .0708g (4.73mg .56% cut). 06/30/2026 - .0706g (4.72mg .33%). 07/28/2026 - .0700g (4.68mg, .85%).

March 1Mar 1 Author Update 18:00pm Barely slept at night including during the day, it was simply impossible, everything is down so there's no work either, this and lack of sleep add a lot of fuel to already rotten place. From the middle of the night migraine-style headaches, painkillers barely tickle, I'll let it go on its own, less the better. seems that the last cut, even though it was only 1.8% was too much and brought harsh symptomatic response relatively late, I just keep forgetting how potent and powerful this drug is, especially at low doses, so I'll wait, long wait. Current symptoms: Physical: As mentioned, migraine headaches along with pressure, loud tinnitus, rapid heartbeat, chest tightness, dizziness, air hunger, upper body burning sensation, crappy sleep with hallucinations and nightmares. Mental: Intrusive irrational thoughts, fear, depressive attacks, inner restlessness. 1998 forced on cipramil *no anxiety/depression background*Over the years all kinds of SSRI/SNRI/antipsychotics/stabilizers due to apparently side effects/withdrawalMany attempts to quit over the years with failure (extremely rapid taper followed by doctors' guidens)Current attempt-Paxil 20 mg:6/24 20 mg to 5 mg-severe AKA9/24 Increase to 20-AKA continues10/24 stopped completely-AKA out of control 11/24 Zoloft bridge attempt-25 mg to 75 mg+Seroquel-AKA continued-stopped them CT.12/24 Back on Paxil 10mg (0.1789g)-some stabilization-from here tapered by about 30% each time (don't remember doses and dates).2025 - 7.10 0.0558g (3.11mg)/7.11 3% 0.0541g (3.02mg)/4.12 1% 0.0535g (2.98mg)2026 - 3.1 1.5% 0.0526g (2.93mg)/9.1 8.5% 0.0480g (2.68mg)/16.2 1.8% 0.0470g (2.62mg)/21.3 1% 0.466 (2.60mg)/23.4 2.2% 0.455g (2.54mg)/8.7 21.7% 0.0356.5g (2mg)/15.8 updose by 11.7% 0.0400g (2.23mg)Supplements:Magnesium Glycinate - started 28.5.26 1 capsule 200mg in the morning - Increased brain fog and muscle stiffness - stopped after two weeks.Iron - liquid, quarter of recommended dose - increased anxiety and burning sensation - stopped after two weeks.Saffron - started 8.7.26 1 capsule 30mg in the morning - pretty immediate improvement in terms of terror, body pain and sleep.
March 2Mar 2 Hi, I've gone down from 10% every 6 weeks to 8% and now 7% as symptoms have started to rear their ugly heads. Tapered today 1.75% for this week and will see how it goes. @Fullhealing You’re doing so well. Your mindset is amazing. May your journey be smooth and uneventful. 🙏❣️🌻 @gardengirl2, you are doing great, but I will suggest to slow down and hold long. Your system is still dealing with previous cutting and it can take time to adjust. It's better to cut from a stronger CNS. I have read few successful stories were people have hold even three years with symptoms free before starting to cut again. We all want to get off these medications soon, but it's important to live and enjoy life while tapering too. Chris Paige did a 3 and half year hold until symptoms disappeared and was able to get rid of two medications and still working on his last medication. It took him 9 years but he is able to live and feel better...and when he cuts, his symptoms only last a day or so then he start feeling better again.... You are doing great so far, but holding longer might be best. I am still holding since November 2025 until I no longer feel the fear sensation and morning feels better.... Prayers for you...

I see that it can be due to deficiencies, diabetes and other medical factors as well but I don't see a correlation between paresthesia and withdrawal.. And I probably didn't wait long enough between cuts because after each dose, especially the lower ones, I felt like I was burning so I don't know if it's due to the medication itself or the tapering, it could be however that I didn't wait long enough in previous cuts, which accumulated to flare up at the low doses, confusing to say at least. March 2Mar 2 Author Update 7:30pm The night went relatively quiet, clear skies so I was able to sleep at least 5-6 hours which helped significantly with my overall feeling. Throughout the day there were still flare-ups of a burning sensation, stiff and painful neck and shoulders, chest pressure, loud tinnitus, dizziness and head pressure but not for long, the severe headache accompanied me until mid-day but has since disappeared, probably because the frequency of flare-ups is decreasing and also because of the extra two hours of sleep during the day. Mentally still on edge but a little less, at least for now, comes in sharp changes, hard to keep up. Additional symptoms from yesterday: super dry sinuses and burning and itchy eyes but it may be due to allergies that have worsened recently. Overall, there's an improvement, I'm grateful. March 2Mar 2 @Fullhealing I am happy for you, that you are feeling a little better. We cherish each minute of this “not totally awful” state. I been on the road a very long time. And I found, that I didn’t do longer holds often enough. As soon as I felt better, I made another very small cut. What happened to me last fall was a combination of several things, amongst that the WD must likely accumulated and the last tiny cut tipped the bucket. And I paid the price… So I second what @Raymond said. Just my humble opinion from my own experience. How would you rate your day on a scale from one to ten? @Chippy introduced this simple way of summerising the days status. I liked it. It gives me a clear picture of the fluctuations from day to day.
