05/01/2026- 14 day recovery process

Yesterday was bad for me. After my nocturnal panic, I had chest fatigue and emtipness feel until like late afternoon where things started to improve. I was also anxious and had like body Nervousness. Things were improving slowly during the day.

I went to sleep around 11pm, and woke up at 530am again. No cortisol. I was able to stay in bed , but the body felt anxious and little fear in stomach area.

Ear pressure again

Tired but ready to work.

It feels better than yesterday and no chest fatigue or emptiness, but still off.

Let see how I end up today. In the name of Jesus Christ, he can heal..

08/01/2009- Klonopin 1mg, but took only .25mg when needed, and end up taking every day for 3 years. 08/01/2012 - Paraxotine 20 mg

We are sometimes so alert to our symptoms that this alone makes them doubly powerful, likely as others have said, a small stone in the road.

Hope this fades like the rest very quickly @Raymond doing great as always!!

It's funny. I still get anxious before flying and if I need to speak in public. A couple months ago I was part of a panel discussing homelessness policy. Short story, because of the panel's makeup, there was a real possibility of sharp disagreements among the members. Normally, I'd pop a Klonopin before such a meeting, but this time I forgot. I didn't realize it until it was too late. But I did some calming exercises and did fine. As it turned out, the meeting was a bit acrimonious but I kept my cool and got through it. In fact, some of the attendees told me I was the most articulate person on the panel. The point is we don't know how strong we are till we try something, even when we're not feeling 100% ourselves.

That's it ,we don't like to feel off ,we are all ok just pottering along but as soon as we hit that small bump in the road we start overreacting then the danger / fear signals kick in ...like it's been said many times we all have anxiety it's part of our make up but it's how we react to it that matters 😊

05/02/2026- continues recovery process....good/ok days...

Yesterday, I felt good again around 9am forward with few bumps.

Last night, I couldn't sleep much, not because of withdrawal, but my five puppies that I have to find them home ... 😆....they really had a busy night that kept me awaking a lot. Two of them found a home but three more to go ..

Back on my waves...I woke up 530am but stayed in bed like until 8am. I believe I actually went back to sleep.

Currently at 1030am, I feel like I want to sleep, but I also feels little anxious, little chest emptiness, fatigue, muscle pain continues to move around, etc...feeling blah and between ok and good this morning. If I close my eyes and concentrate in my breathing, I feel relax while the body feels anxious...

Let see how things go. In the name of Jesus Christ, we will all heal.

05/03/2026- better sleep recovery process...

Yesterday was another good day with few bumps in the morning hours between 7am to 10am.

I went to my son's confirmation at church. As I was watching and listening the bishop, there were multiple times that my eyes just closed. Not because of the speech, which was great, but I think my body just felt tired after 16 months journey. To me, it was an improvement because I was not able to fall asleep in the afternoon hours. I have had few afternoon short naps, but falling asleep while listening to someone, it's my first time.

After that, I went with family to celebrate. When I got home around 630pm, I decided to lay on my bed and I believe I felt asleep for like two hours because I woke up around 830pm.

Then, I went back to sleep around 11pm until the alarm sound it at 630am for a church activity that I volunteer this morning.

My sleep this past days have felt very deep breathing. I haven't felt this nice deep sleep in the longest time. I know I still need to improve, but I seeing longer windows and shorter waves as well.

I still have muscle pain, tinnitus on and off, little anxious on and off but not every day, feeling morning blah but short morning periods, etc. I think my waves are just three hours in the mornings.

Overall, I have been feeling good with few bumps.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I will heal from this. The miracle is coming....

Hello, it's a terrible journey what we go through, but there is hope. I wish I was on the same dose as you. I am hoping that as I go down, I start feeling even better. I'm still at 4.78g and my goal is to be at 4mg by the end of this year ..

How you feeling at your dose?

@Raymond to be honest I'm not sure if my symptoms are from the dose which I have been on since January or external factors that I've had since the start of the year . Hopefully it's the latter as I was ok before the stress .Not been great since March ...

Afternoon update.....

Honestly, I did not want to say I feel great because I don't know when things can I'll change again, but I actually feeling better than good..

04/04/2026- sleep good, little cortisol, recovery process

Yesterday was a great day in the longest time ever. I have had great days feeling at least 90% percent better with few issues before, but I kind of lost it in the last 6 months. I had a great day all day with the morning blah feeling and muscle pain, but no big deal.

Last night, I slept from 11pm to 5am straight without waking up multiple times per night. I woke up with a minor cortisol spike and feeling little anxious. Mind feels relaxed. I feel a tiny little fear sensation in the background.

Let see if I can sleep just a little bit more before standing up to work. I am currently taking my dose at 7am.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I will healed. Miracles do happens.....

What I'm really hoping is that on my next cut, I can do a 2% and see how I react. This is the part that I'm scared. So far, it's being good with minor ups and down. I sometimes feels like my body is telling me to drop bigger cuts, but wow psychological speaking, this is just insane. Eventually, I will have to try.

@Raymond That's totally understandable when we are all in a situation that is totally unpredictable! How easy this would be if we all knew the consequences of our actions . Bigger steps are harder to climb back up if you fall ,smaller steps are more gentle and less likely we will hurt ourselves and if we fall we havent fallen too far ...

As I got down to really low doses, I had the same concerns. What will life be like without a drug I've been taking for seven years? What if it wasn't really the drugs? Anticipatory anxiety sucks but it will be worth the journey!

Started Paxil for GAD in 1999

Unsuccessful taper attempt in 2006

Paxilprogress helped with a successful taper completed in 2009

Using therapy and CBT to manage my anxiety

@mstimc60 definitely! Eventually, I will have to try it out. I think I'm in a good position.....I am holding now until I come back from my vacations. I am on vacation from may 9 to the 24. This is plenty of time to settle down in my new dose before tapering again ...
