April 29Apr 29 Hi @caitlinnathanie I'm so, so sorry for what you're going through. My sister had a similar experience last year and ended up in the hospital. At the time my mom was really burnt out from caring for her and also told the hospital that she was done and couldn't care for my sister anymore. But when the hospital eventually released my sister and she had literally nowhere else to go, my parents still took her back. So I think they were just kind of venting their own trauma and frustration? You know better than me of course, but if you call your parents' bluff and insist on leaving the hospital hopefully they wouldn't actually kick you out of the house? I'm sure they still love you very much and don't want to see you suffer any more than you already are.If it helps, my sister has been coming down off the MASSIVE amount of benzos she was prescribed and is finally starting to feel better. There was a long period of time where she was saying that every day was intolerable and she couldn't bear it anymore, but now she's seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I think you will too ❤️Sarah I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice. I am new to this journey and my thoughts are based only on my personal experience with psychiatric drugs. April 29Apr 29 Do you experience this extreme dpdr because of immense fear? Or because you feel like your mind is very blank and you have reduced inner monologue / bad cognition?I had a very blank mind 2,5 months off fluoxetine. I could not hear my inner monologue in my head anymore and did not have spontaneous thoughts. It was really scary. That has gotten better for me.In the past (before meds) I had dpdr because of high stress / anxiety. I felt a lot of existential fears and overthought life, my body, and my experience. It was really scary but it did eventually go away once my stress levels were lower again. I know it’s hard.. but try to ignore the dpdr and try to keep doing things… like eating, showering, walks. Try to use your senses to become a little more present. 12 august 2025; 5mg fluoxetine 30 August 2025: 10mg fluoxetine 11 september 2025: 5mg fluoxetine 19 september 2025; 2.5mg fluoxetine 2 oktober 2025: 0mg I had to cut my pills in half and quarters, so and don’t think I had accurate dosages.
